Call for papers - Bacteriophage based technologies for veterinary applications

We are proud to announce that "Bacteriophage based technologies for veterinary applications" is open for submissions. Original works and reviews focusing phage therapy, antimicrobial phage enzymes, phage vaccines, phage diagnosis tools for veterinary applications are welcome.

This article collection is intended to give new insights to the current knowledge on bacteriophage based technologies for Veterinary applications, a topic that has gained a renewed interest with the rising of bacterial resistances to the commonly used antimicrobials.

This special issue will try to 1) disseminate current phage-based research applied to the widest range of animal species; 2) broaden the scope of phage veterinary applications, enclosing phage therapy, antimicrobial phage enzymes, phage vaccines and phage diagnosis tools.

All manuscripts accepted from this Call for Papers will be included in a unique online article collection, further highlighting this important topic. The article collection may also include specially commissioned Review articles related to the topic.

Manuscripts will undergo normal peer review as they are received. Accepted manuscripts will be published online as they are accepted

Edited by Dr Ana Oliveira and Dr Joana Azeredo.

Call for papers - Bacteriophage Ecology and Evolution

We are proud to announce that "Bacteriophage Ecology and Evolution" is open for submissions, specifically original works and reviews focusing on phage population and community ecology, phage-host interaction, and integrated genomics and post-genomics approaches in microbial ecology are welcome.

This article collection is intended to give new insights to the current knowledge of bacteriophage ecology and genome evolution, a topic that has gained a renewed interest with the increased capacity to investigate the composition and dynamics of microbial communities that colonize diverse habitats, due to the advance of high-throughput sequencing technologies.
