Phylogenetic analysis of the HBV isolates circulating among the HIV/HBV co-infected population in this study. The evolutionary history was inferred by using the Maximum Likelihood method based on the Tamura-Nei model. The tree with the highest log likelihood (-2314.93) is shown. The percentage of trees in which the associated taxa clustered together is shown next to the branches. The isolates (denoted by NG-HBV) were analysed with respect to reference sequences retrieved from GenBank which are designated by their respective accession numbers along with their HBV genotypes/subgenotypes. HBV sequences of the isolates from this study are available at NCBI GenBank database (Acc. No.:MK239481–MK239512)
