PEDV inhibits IPS-1- and RIG-I-induced IFN-β production. PEDV-infected IECs were cotransfected with the IFN-β promoter luciferase reporter and IPS-1 (a) or RIG-I (b) expression plasmids or vector for 24 h. Cells were then retransfected with poly (I:C) for 12 h. Cells were harvested and luciferase activity was analyzed using a dual-luciferase assay.
