Phylogenetic analysis of EV71 from Shanghai, 2012. The phylogenetic tree was based on the alignment of entire VP1 sequences using Neighbor-Joining method with bootstrap value 1000 pseudoreplicates. Bootstrap values with > 75 replications were shown at the branch nodes. The scale bar represented the genetic distance of 0.02 nucleotide substitutions per site. ▲ indicated EV71 strains from Shanghai, 2011, ● indicated EV71 strains from Shanghai, 2012. Other strains are obtained from GenBank (listed in Additional file 1)
