From: Regulation of the HIV-1 promoter by HIF-1α and Vpr proteins
Functional interplay between HIV-1 Vpr and HIF-1α in microglial and 786-O cells. Microglial (lanes 1-6) and 786-O (lanes 7-12) cells were transfected with LTR-Luc full length along with HIF-1α full length and deletion mutant expression plasmids in the presence and absence of HIV-1 Vpr expression plasmids. The amount of DNA in each transfection mixture was normalized with pcDNA6HisA. Luciferase activity was determined 48 hours after transfection. Results are displayed as histograms. Each transfection was repeated 3 times using different DNA preps.
