Viral lung titers in immunized animals. Five weeks after immunization with pV-H3-EHA-H1, pV-H3HA, pV-H3-H1, pV-H1HA1 or pVAX1 control, protection of mice from intranasal challenge with 10 LD50 A/New Caledonia/20/99 (H1N1) was determined by detection of viral titers in the lung using a plaque formation assay on MDCK cells. Log10 values of the mean titer for each group are shown.
