The triangles show the positions of the nucleotide point mutations. The black triangle had an amino acid substitution in the VP1, whereas the open triangle in the VP2 gene did not change amino acid sequence. An RNA probe (anti-VP1) was used to monitor the transcription of rVP1 mRNA in which contained the native sequence, i.e., lacking the mutation at 1076.
