Protective efficacy of the reconstructed viruses against lethal DEV challenge. Groups of 7 ducks were vaccinated intramuscularly with 1 × 105 TCID50 of DEV-vac, rDEV, rDEV-BAC, rDEV-Cre, or with culture medium as a control, and 2 weeks later, all groups were challenged with lethal DEV. The ducks were monitored daily for 2 weeks after challenge.
