LMP1 suppresses expression of exogenous DNA. A) A549 and CNE1 cells retrovirally transduced with LMP1 expression or empty vector were cultured for 24 hrs. Conditioned medium was used to measure MMP9 by gelatin zymography. B) 7.5 × 104 A549 cells or C) CNE1 cells were co-transfected with 100 ng of the indicted luciferase construct and either 300 ng of empty vector or LMP1 expression vector. Cells were harvested at 24 hours post transfection.
