Virulence of reassortant viruses in mice. Virulence of the PB1-, PA- and NP-reassortant viruses was measured by infection of five mice, after which body-weight loss was measured for 14 days after infection. For reference, the human wt WSN-H1N1 and avian wt A2093-H9N2 viruses are shown. The body weight changes is plotted, and significant differences (Multiple t test with a = 0.05) are marked (*).
