Multivariate logistic regression analysis of risk factors for cervical histological abnormalities. Odds ratios with 95% confidence intervals of HPV genotypes associated with abnormal cervical histology were provided. HPV16, 31, 33 and 58 were independent risk factors for the occurrence of cervical lesions. HPV16 and 18 were independent risk factors for disease progression from cervical intraepithelial neoplasia to cervical cancer
