MCPyV LT and sT stimulate HPV16 LCR and HPV 18 LCR-driven protein expression. HaCaT cells stably transfected with EGFP expression plasmid containing the HPV16 LCR or the HPV 18 LCR were transfected with expression plasmid for MCPyV LT, sT, truncated LT variant MKL-2 (tLT) or a combination of LT (respectively tLT) plus sT. Lysates were prepared 24 h after transfection and expression of EGFP, LT, sT, tLT, and GAPDH was monitored using antibodies. The lane on the left represents the protein marker (in kDa). A HaCaT cells stably expressing EGFP under control of HPV16 LCR. B HaCaT cells stably expressing EGFP driven by the HPV18 LCR. The top panel of the figure shows EGFP protein expression.
