  1. Table 1 indicates the HIV status, age and gender characteristics of participants. Majority (40%) were between the ages of 26 to 35 years with 46 to 55-year group being the least recorded (10%). Majority (74%) were males whilst 14% were females. Demographics for 10 (12%) of the study samples were not available. Sixty (74%) of the samples were confirmed as HIV-1 positive, Twenty-one samples (26%) were found to be negative for HIV-1, HIV-2 or dual HIV-1/2 infection
