Determination of the splenic IFN-γ, IL-4, and IL-12 cytokine secretion. Two weeks after last treatment, the spleen was removed in each group(n = 3), seeded in 96 well plate and re-stimulated with 1 μg/ml E7-specific epitope. After 48 h, collected supernatants were assayed for the presence of IFN-γ, Il-4, and IL-12 to investigate the balance of the immune response. The level of cytokines was measured by comparison to a standard curve of serially diluted positive control samples. The data is represented as mean ± S.D. Each sample was examined in triplicate and results are representative of two experiments. * P < 0.05; ** P < 0.01; *** P < 0.001
