J-E6.1 + Dox: Jurkat E6.1 cells incubated with 1000 ng/ml doxycycline (Dox). Jurkat HIV: Jurkat E6.1 cells infected with HIV. *Concentrations of Dox selected to induce a level of TatGFP mRNA equivalent to that seen in HIV-infected Jurkat T cells. For the Tat101GFP and Tat72GFP cell lines 200 ng/ml Dox was used, whereas 400 ng/ml Dox was used for all other cell lines
