The immune response in TLR2/9−/− mice appears to be a mix of Th1/ Th2 response. IL-10 a and IL-5 b mRNAs levels were measured in TG homogenates from C57BL/6 (WT) and TLR2/9−/− (KO) mice on day 5 post infection (106 p.f.u. of HSV-1) by qPCR. The expression results use arbitrary units for the ratio of target gene mRNA to the endogenous control, HPRT. Data are representative of two independent experiments with similar results. n = 9–19 mice/group. White bars: mock-infected groups. Black bars: infected groups.
