Steady state levels of MDA-5 and IPS-1. Whole cell lysates prepared from cells that were mock-infected or had been infected with poliovirus for the indicated amount of time were analyzed by immunoblotting with rabbit polyclonal antibodies that detect MDA-5 (a) or IPS-1 (b). The membrane was stripped and reprobed with an antibody to β-actin to show equivalent loading of protein lysates. (*) indicates nonspecific band; Arrow indicates cleavage product
