IRF-3 is not activated in poliovirus-infected cells. a. ISG54 mRNA levels in infected cells. Total RNA extracted from uninfected, poliovirus-infected or poly(I:C) treated cells at the indicated times post-infection was analyzed by qRT-PCR with primers for both interferon stimulated gene 54 (ISG54) and β-actin mRNAs. The amount of ISG54 mRNA was normalized to the amount of β-actin mRNA. The fold induction of ISG54 mRNA relative to uninfected controls is shown.
