 a. The ΔC_{T} value is determined by subtracting the average GAPDH C_{T} value from the average HolSMP C_{T} value. The standard deviation of the difference is calculated from the standard deviation of the HolSMP and GAPDH values.
 b. The calculation of ΔΔC_{T} involves subtraction by the ΔC_{T} calibrator value. This is subtraction of an arbitrary constant, so the standard deviation of ΔΔC_{T} is the same as the standard deviation of the ΔC_{T} value.
 c. The range given for HolSMP relative to 0 min is determined by evaluation the expression: 2^{ΔΔCT} with ΔΔC_{T} + s and ΔΔC_{T}  s, where s = the standard deviation of the ΔΔC_{T} value.
