Quantitative Real Time-PCR was performed to determine viral loads (copies/ml) in different specimens before and after hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT). The 90% sensitivity threshold was at 350 copies/ml corresponding to 2.54 log copies/ml indicated by the horizontal dotted line. The bold line represents day 0 of HSCT; the dashed vertical line shows time point of neutrophil granulocyte engraftment. RTS: respiratory tract secretion.
