The ISH signals are both negative in cultured cells without probe and MCMV infection (A) and cultured cells without MCMV infection (B); MCMV DNA signals are detected in the cytoplasm and the nucleus of MCMV-infected cultured cells as brown granules(C); MCMV DNA signals are negative in the spiral ganglion neurons (D) and the stria vascularis (F) of the control mice; MCMV DNA signals are detected in the spiral ganglion neurons (E) and the stria vascularis (G) of the congenital MCMV-infected mice.
