From: Cytolytic replication of echoviruses in colon cancer cell lines
Viral infections of HT29 spheroids. Spheroids originating from 1 000 HT29 cells and grown for seven days were infected by 105 TCID50 of echovirus 12, 17, 26, 29 or uninfected (Control). Infections were followed for 9 days and pictures were taken at 0, 1, 5, and 9 days post infection at 4 000 × magnification. The figure shows representative pictures of at least 14 spheroid infections per virus performed on at least two different occasions.
