  1. Samples were fixed in buffered formalin and embedded in paraffin wax. Sections were prepared and stained with H&E for histopathological examination. A histopathological scoring system incorporating seven parameters was used and the severity of the lesions was scored from 0 (no lesion) to 3 (severe lesion).
