  1. Indicator plants Chenopodium amaranticolor (Ca), Gomphrena globosa (Gg), Phaseolus vulgaris (Pv) and Nicotiana tabacum (Nt) were inoculated with tepal tissue extracts and the host reaction determined. NS = no symptoms; LL = local lesion. Presence of potyviruses in the tepal extracts was determined by DIBA-ELISA. All daffodil tepals were tested. '+' = positive, '(+)' = weak positive reaction, '-' = negative
