Levels of SAV-specific viral RNA in hearts. Viral RNA (nsp1-assay) was normalized against EF1A_A. Mean normalized expression (MNE) values were Log2 transformed. Five fish were sampled from each group at each time point (7, 14, 21, 35, 49 and 70 dpi). In the SRed group at 49 dpi only 4 fish were positive. SNorm = SAV-infected, normoxia. SRed = SAV-infected, reduced oxygen conditions. Significant differences between the SAV- groups at each time point were tested with a Kruskal-Wallis non-parametric test followed by a Dunn's post test. Median values are shown as horizontal lines.
