Lung viral titers after inhalation of attenuated mengovirus. Viral titers in left lung homogenates and BAL fluid (obtained from the right lung) from BN rats inoculated with 10⁷ PFU of attenuated mengovirus, vMC₀, an equivalent amount of UV-inactivated vMC₀, or vehicle were determined by plaque assays.
