Peaks whose chemical identity was established by comparing their retention times and mass spectra to authentic standards (see Figure 5) are: palmitic acid (1), 3-hydroxy myristic acid (2), 3-hydroxy palmitic acid (3), and 3-hydroxy lauric acid (4).
