  1. The cells were incubated with poliovirus (Pol) and/or interferon-α (Ifn) for 8 or 16 h, and with vaccinia virus (Vac) for 4 h prior to microarray examination. The reported numbers are based on genes where the average change in three parallel experiments was more than 1.5 × (log2 ratio 0.6). The total number of expressed genes was 16572.
