The Mimivirus DNA polymerase PolB intein. The 351 amino acid residues intein sequence is shown with, respectively, the last and the first three amino acid residues of the N-extein and the C-extein. Bold letters represent amino acid residues essential for protein splicing. Conserved intein sequence motifs are indicated by underlines (N1, N2, N3, EN1, EN2, EN3, EN4, C2 and C1).
