  1. Splenic macrophages were harvested from mice (five/group). Macrophages were cultured with LPS (1 μg/ml) for 48 h and SOD was measured in the culture supernatant. SPPV treated mice are significantly different from controls at *P < 0.05 or **P < 0.01.
