  1. *CC 50 : The cytotoxic concentration of the extracts/n-butanol fraction that caused the reduction of viable cells by 50%. All data presented are averages of three independent experiments done in duplicates (mean ± standard error).
  2. *IC 50 : The concentration of the extracts/n-butanol fraction that resulted in 50% inhibition in HIV-1 infection. All data presented are averages of three independent experiments done in duplicates (mean ± standard error).
  3. **CC 50 was not obtained as there was no toxicity up to the maximum concentration tested.
